🦠 EXERCISE RECOMMENDATIONS DURING COVID-19:
Henning Wackerhage published an outstanding article with a number of recommendations regarding exercise during the COVID-19 pandemic, protecting your immune system, and how to safely go back to gyms.

Below are some of the highlights:
•• Social distancing and hygiene reduce the risk of SARS-CoV-2 infection 🧼
•• Avoid exhaustive exercise as it may weaken your immune system 🚴♀️
•• Ensure to sleep for more than 7 hours 💤 & eat a healthy diet 🍊🥦🍞🍌🥩 Food = medicine
•• Go out and get some Vitamin D as it can reduce infection symptoms by ≈10% or more (if you are in lockdown, take supplements e.g. 4000 UI of vitamin D3 per day) ☀️ ⚠️ Avoid taking other supplements as they probably will not help and some may harm you .
•• Implement a resistance exercise training (at-home if you don't access to a gym) to prevent a loss of endurance, muscle mass and strength and monitor your weight 🏋️♂️ ⇝ This includes the elderly as reduced physical activity may accelerate the normal musculoskeletal aging processes.
